PRODUCTION

CTS uses an internal technical studio to design and develop all its products, including special components on request . It constantly collaborates with Autodesk to stay up to date on Mechanical Desktop and Autodesk Inventor.

Production is entrusted to specialized personnel, who operate CNC lathes , work centers , grinding machines , milling machines and automatic drilling machines .

OUR PRODUCT RANGE

LINEAR GUIDES

They are used whenever there is a need to slide an object or to increase the profitability of a process or machine by automating it. CTS offers various items: simple linear guides , which are the basis of its product range, can evolve into motorized linear guides with 1, 2 or 3 axes. Movement can be achieved with a toothed belt , straight or helical toothed rack , chain , trapezoidal screw and recirculating screw . A wide choice of standard carriages is available or they can be built to design according to the different needs of customers. Simple components can also be supplied to integrate them into an existing linear guide solution. Linear guides with rollers work dry , do not need to be periodically lubricated, they are therefore particularly suitable for dusty environments , in areas where constant maintenance is difficult, and above all where it is important not to pollute the final product such as in the textile, paper and food sectors. The track is made of an aluminum profile with two hardened, ground and chrome-plated steel bars inserted on both sides. The version with AISI420 stainless steel bars and wheels is also available and protection can be made with heat-welded flat bellows . The working temperature depends on the type of lubricant used and the polymer cage mounted inside the ball wheels, the range is -20°C +80°C . There are no standard lengths of the rails, they can be supplied from 100 mm up to 6 m in a single piece, for greater lengths special joints can be made.

FREE WHEELS

They are precision one-way joints made up of two rings , a driving one that pulls and a driven one that is pulled. The motion is transmitted in one direction only and when the two rings engage the transmission of torque occurs, while when the rotation of one goes in the opposite direction the release occurs and free rotation occurs. The material they are made of is steel with tempering treatment and they can be rollers or asymmetric contact bodies . They exist in a version to be centered or already self-centering equipped with ball bearings or bronze bushings . CTS is able to satisfy the most particular needs by building special freewheels to design or by modifying standard products. CTS technicians are also available to verify the correct use of freewheels in your projects and to resolve your problems.

Roller freewheels, when used as overspeed clutches, must be arranged so that in the overspeed range the inner part is stationary or moving slowly and the outer part overspeeds. This arrangement allows a higher number of overspeed revolutions, reduces wear and overheating, thus extending the life of the overspeed clutch. For good lubrication, the use of low viscosity oil (generally hydraulic oil), possibly oil circulation lubrication, is recommended.

Some examples of oils are given in the initial pages of the catalogue under the heading "lubricants"
